Step 1 – Find Local Candidates

To find candidates running for office, reach out to your local election office or visit BallotPedia.org, a nonprofit and nonpartisan online political encyclopedia written by a staff of researchers and writers. There you’ll see candidates for school board, mayor, city council, and other elections all by location. BallotPedia.org provides detailed information about candidates nationwide, helping you expand your customer base.

Step 2 – Start the Conversation

Once you identify the candidates you’d like to meet, visit one of their local offices. You could also attend one of their political meetings to better understand the size of their campaign.
